Fuel Types And Colors

Featured Replies

I purchased a brand new bike and was told not to use Gasohol91, Gasohol95 would be okay but regular gas was recommended. I don't know Thai and she didn't know English which led to some confusion.

The bike has a green 91 sticker on the cap. At the gas station, the attendant removed the Orange 91 house, I pointed to the green 91 sticker and then to the green 91 hose and shrugged. He removed that hose and filled it up. It's a brand new bike so can't be sure but would assume that might have something to do with why the bike now has startup issues and will stall/turn off. It's only a few days old and is back at the dealership now for investigation.

I don't know much about fuel, but am figuring the green 91 sticker on the cap is surely not indicating the green 91 hose option at the station.

Can anyone please help clear this ambiguity/confusion?

Thank you.

If the manufacturer say's no and you put it in you have voided your warranty. Gasohol will react with fuel lines etc that are not designed for it.

Okay, that doesn't answer my question.

I don't even know if I put gasohol91 in, I put in what the label on the cap said, green 91 matched with green 91 at the gas station, which may not be the same I don't know. Not sure how the fuel types here work at the gas stations and what the color codes mean / if they're consistent etc.

Hi,

I normally fill up at PTT.

Green = Gasohol 91

Red = Benzine 91

Orange = Gasohol 95

Hope this helps
