MoonRiverOasis
Toyota having only held the "line-off" ceremony at it's Gateway plant for the new Prius just yesterday (signalling start of production), has been forced to delay all production while it fixes a coolant pump defect officially announced overnight. Not a good start Apparently 650,000 Prius' sold worldwide will be recalled (officially not a recall according to Toyota, but I have no idea what other word to use in it's place - they need to invent a new word I think ) to address the fault, which causes premature overheating and loss of power. According to Toyota spokespeople, there have been no reports of any accidents or injuries as a result of the defect... I think I've heard that one before I'm sure we'll here lots more about this one in the coming days/weeks..
