Buying A New Pick Up

Featured Replies

What should you/can you bargain when buying a new pick up from Toyota or Isuzu?

Sincere thanks to all experienced buyers!

It won't happen. They are locked in on their price.

I got 25k knocked off and some free add ons. When you go to the dealer make out your not that interested and are going to look at a different make, you can't make up your mind. Things usually start to happen ' IF ' they have leeway. :)

If they ask for your phone number, give it, means there is leeway and offers will be made.

During the next 10 or so days, Motorshow is on. Fight is tight between Izu and Toyota to be most sold this year, so these 10 days is the best price you can get before next Motorshow march-april

There's currently around 40K Baht of discount room in the VIGO range - which means 40k discount and no accessories, or up to 40k baht worth of "freebies" thrown in. Most people go for the latter as you'll need some basic accessories such as insurance, road tax (tabien rod), window tint, tray liner etc.

One dealer is currently advertising the following as their list of freebies:

  • DVD system
  • Leather seats
  • Tray Liner
  • Locktech anti-theft device
  • Lamina brand window tint
  • Floor mats
  • Front bug protector

As KBB noted, the Motor Show is your best bet if you're ready to buy now.
