August 14, 200520 yr Hello. I have just recently bought some property in Pattaya. A few people have told that they expect the prices of property to rise when the new airport gets built east of bkk. Is this true? I think it is still to far from Pattaya to make a difference, mabey i am wrong?
August 15, 200520 yr I guess there'll be a bit advantage in the tourism sector, but not a whole lot in the real estate market. People just don't start buying houses because the airport will only be 45 minutes away instead of 2 hours Biggest advantage will be tourists staying their whole holiday in PTY instead of spending the first 3-4 days in Bangkok and then come over to Pattaya. It'l be roughly the same time to drive to Pattaya as to Bangkok from the new airport!
August 15, 200520 yr There are a number of rumours that developers are fuelling in an attempt to push real estate prices in Pattaya higher... 1. Proximity to new airport 2. Completion and extension of motorway (highway 7) 3. Closure of BKK port and development of Laem Chabang port 4. Location of Thailand's first casino 5. Discussions between Disney World and local authorities for new theme park etc...... I'm sure others can add more to the list... Taoism: shit happens Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us? Atheism: I don't believe this shit
August 15, 200520 yr More and more people are realising that there is a serious water shortage. May disuade a few buyers.
