Has cold war II started?

Nah, still the same old thing. The same cold war warriors, now some old zombies, desperately looking for a new enemy to fight their silly wars after the former commie states lost interest in fighting and moved on to something else.

Now the old warriors fall over their own cables, will probably brake some of their bones, become even more older, weak and limp and will soon be history.

History knows no winners just perished empires and waning powers.

Its a pure political prize. Has lost its value some time ago and became totally meaningless last year.

How a society treats its own dissenters is an indicator of the freedom in that society.

An USAmerican version of Liu Xiaobo you would probably call left radical nutcase, Ulysses G would send him to Bubba in jail or post a clipart of an hangman and the "liberals" on television would demand to nuke him.

Anyway despite the spoiled value of the nobel peace prize, the international community should of course show support for dissidents like Liu Xiaobo.
