Any Quick, Reasonably Priced Tailor Shop?

I know there are tailor shops all over the place but I don't have much time to look around and I'm weary of scams so I'm asking for some recommendations.

I'm thinking about having a suit made for a wedding, something casual, not too formal. Trousers, shirt and maybe jacket. I must confess that would be my first time with a tailor since I'm very much casual and informal with my attire. Well dress but nothing professional or ballroom appropriate. Heck, the last time I wore a tie was more than 15 years ago. :)

Anyway, if I decide to get the thing done, what should I expect in terms of price and delivery time? I only have two weeks before the wedding...

By the way, I live around the area of Ratchadapisek and Rama IX intersection, so something not too far from here or easily reached by MRT or BTS would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I can only speak from personal experience and I found "Narry Tailor" to be good, they made a lovely suit for me and never felt i was being ripped off etc. They advertisse in the main Airline magazines (I got there details originally through Thai Air flght).

Website here: http://www.narry.com/

Directions: opp. Zanzibar (next to Swiss Park Hotel)

155/22 Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11/1,, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10500

I think they offer a FREE pick-up service too. if not there is a BTS is right by there.

Hope this helps, they were fine for me anyway.

Good Luck :jap:

Thank you, I checked the website but I didn't find any examples of white linen suits, which is what I'm thinking of having done. I wonder if they would be open next Monday, I have a schedule adjustment and now I'm really short in time...

If you go for the cheap places expect a cheap suit, you have to pay a price to get a decent suit.

Well, I said "reasonably priced" which to me means something which has a matching value to its quality. I'm not after cheap worthless stuff, neither after luxury; just something in between and keeping in mind I may use it at most once a year in semi formal occasions. In any caser, I have no idea what a decent suit cost so I'd love to be educated.

The best I have found if you want the absolute best, are the tailors at The Oriental. You will pay about Baht 10-20,000 but you will be noticed. Finest of the fine and as already said, you get what you pay for. I would avoid all touts along Sukhumvit.
