Anyone know of fitness centres with some decent gear near RimPing San Sai... near Lunguna Home estates. Driving into the city is becoming a hassle and prefer to find a good local gym. ANYONE?

I have not been there, but there is what appears to be a good gym behind Carrefour, and that should be just down the road from you, what, maybe 2-3 miles?

I've not seen any such place in the area you refer to. I live in the same area.

I use a gym on Tanawan village, its more gym than fitness center with free weights etc, there are some running machines and multi gyms as well. The yearly membership is 500thb and then 20thb everytime you use it for the day. There is also a full size swimming pool, the membership for that is 800thb a year with a 25thb daily fee when you use it. If your not bothered about joining for the year, its 50thb a day for the gym and also 50thb a day for the pool. Tanawan village is directly behind Rimping, the best entrance to it is to turn left at the wawee coffee before the petrol station on Chiang Mai-Maejo road. The gym/pool is about 500yards on the left. It doesn't open on Mondays but Tues-Sun 8am-8pm.

I forgot about Tanawan. Indeed it is more of a gym with basic facilities.
