I'm looking at getting my wife a new general use mobile phone ( Birthday Gift ) my budget max is around 9,000 Baht , I know practically nothing about mobile phones , so I am looking for some general guidance :)

Ive searched and found these Two phones on sale in Thailand , The Samsung Wave 533 around 7,000 Baht and the LG Optimus One P500 at around 9,000 Baht. So can any one please comment on the specifications below ...

These look to be vastly different phones targeted at completely different segments? The LG seems like the better (whatever that means-the one I would want) model. Not sure how you got to these two models? Can you ask your wife to choose?

Take a look at youtube as there are some great review videos there. LG Optus One (P500)

Be sure to understand you wife's needs for the phone. A friend of mine bought a Samsung Galaxy for his wife. After a few days she said she would rather have his Nokia (conventional model), too many features on the Samsung for her to be sussed with. :D
