Buying And Selling Shares / Investments / Options

Featured Replies

Whats the law say ?? I assume it is technically illegal for anyone to maintain thier own investments without a WP and B visa ???

Of course prosecution chances are near nil but at what point..

Buying and selling my own shares.. Buying and selling my own shares daily.. Making a handsome profit outside of Thailand.. Etc..

Is there any legal clarification on this ???

I have also recently come accross spread betting financial markets.. its kind of fun and interesting with a lot of leverage and associated risk.

I notice that the bookmakers websites that take spread bets are blocked over the internet. However you have options traders and advisors legally operating in BKK..

So how is spread betting the market any different than options or futures trading the maket (taking a bet on the future price of a stcok or index).. If you come right down to it every 'share' purchase is a bet on the future price rising v falling..

How do they legally define betting and why is spread betting different to futures trading or share purchases ??

I think getting clear defined answers will be impossible correct ?? Am I alone in thinking this is legal mess ??
