Tot Troubles Today ?

Featured Replies

What in the world is going on with the TOT ADSL this afternoon?

For the 5th time in the past hour, the internet has just dropped off.

It will stay off for about 3-4 minutes and then return for about 10 mins, then dropout again

Any one else experiencing problems like this or hear about any work or non work in progress?

my TOT is fine all day but I don't use TOT DNS servers.

Is your circuit dropping? or your connection (PPP etc) ? Usually the circuit and connection have separate indicator lights on the modem/router.

All normally on lights stay on, the only one going out is the adsl light

and since the time of the original we have now had 2 additional offages.

okay if your DSL light is going out then indicates a problem with the line.

Sometimes it's things like attenuation or distance, interference, water etc.

I would get on the horn and have TOT come out and troubleshoot it for you.

Also check your inside wiring and jacks... Try switching cables etc.... to make sure it's not your equipment.

Also possible is the router/modem itself. Guessing you have already reset/rebooted it.

If your handy you can log into your modem and check the lines errors.

Agreed, it does sound more localized as I'm on TOT ADSL as well and it's been fine all day here (Near the Airport).

Mine's not been great today, and the wife was complaining about not being able to connect/slow connection
