You can get some good full face and 3/4 face at Chalong in a mechanics shop, head down to Rawai from Chalong circle and on the left opposite Big One supermarket there is the mechanics shop and he has them for sale there.

Alternatively Big C does have some halfway decent ones - or go to Supercheap they have a great selection at good prices!

There is a big bike shop opposite the naka market in Phuket town....I bought a carbon fibre skull cap there for 5000 baht...its awesome and because i spent that kind of money on it....it allways gets worn! he has a great variety of mainly american helmets

carrefour 2nd floor in Jungceylon Patong has full face helmets at 800-1000 baht. I find the quality acceptable, but they are not exported to the US so not DOT approved

Google 'real helmets' they have a website and are dot standard yet range from about 1200 - 2500 so good pricing.
