Vietnam With Girlfriend

Featured Replies

I'M planning a trip to Vietnam and was intending to take my Thai girlfriend, however i've been told that it is not acceptable to share a room there unless you are married. Anyone know for sure. Thanks in advance.

As you're both foreigners it won't be a problem.

At worst the hotel will just 'register' your girlfriend in a different room and not charge as you won't use it.

As PP says,as neither of you are Vietnamese, there is no problem. The law only applies to a non Vietnamese citizen sharing a room overnight with a Vietnamese citizen of the opposite sex.

My Thai wife and I were in HCMC in October for a week and when we checked in to the hotel no one asked if we were married or not. I dont think you will have a problem.

You wont have any problems there...I have never had any even when I was single and stayed with Viet girls....

Don't worry there won't be any problem....i done that mamy mamy times...enjoy.

Cheers for the info, seemed i'd been misinformed. No excuse for leaving the girlfriend at home now.

Only problem is to get use to cross the roads...and the traffic noise...
