The outside bet wins. I have met you all :D

Glad you posted 'Sunshine on a rainy Day' . I was worried about you. no late night, early morning contributions for a couple of days. You must be on the wagon, or have run out of pickled onions :D

Thanks for your concern Jubby, I have been a little quiet due to not wanting to upset any more

MEMBERS, as for the rest of you , business as usual :D

I don't think you really upset anybody here sun, we all know you are only jealous that we can afford to overpay for things, and i must say, you are a great contributor of information.

How long have you been living in Chiang Rai?

How old are your children Jubby?

I have daughters aged 1 and a half, 6 and 14.

I am hoping sinsod hasn't been abolished by the time they come of age to have boyfriends and marry (35+ if up to me)

Thanks Paul. I have lived here for more than 5 years but less than 10. :D

There's ample opportunity for expats to socialise in and around Chiang Rai if they wish.

I'd just like to add a reminder that some of us, and I pass no judgement on the more sociable members here, occasionally prefer our own company.

Without suggesting that they're out and out hermits... sometimes, for various reasons, physical and mental, the thought of going out and joining a large group is a bit overwhelming.

So when arranging events and gatherings it may be a good idea not to assume that everyone who contributes regularly and in a friendly manner on the forum will feel like joining in the fun and games.

yeah I agree, needs to be much much higher! They need some kind of tariff too, like when you cross the bridge into Wales it's free, on the way back, people gladly pay the toll :)

The romans were a bit thin on the ground so they couldn`t make any headway into Bonnie Scotland. They built a wall to keep themselves safe from invasion.

GERRINTAYTHUM.

I know some and met some, I met more non TV-members. To be honest... I am not in Thailand to party together with, what Thai call, farang. I have my family, my life and I am happy with that. But.... I Do have an idea.... Why not make badges shown "I am _____ from TV" and distribute them at the favorate place you go to? Mine is Da Vinci.

At least we all will recognize a TV member :)
