Sex show in North Pattaya raided by Tourist Police and district officials.

A group of Tourist Police Officers from the Headquarters in Bangkok in association with Banglamung District Officials conducted a raid of the “Bang-Up” Entertainment Complex on Thursday Night in accordance with Tourist Police and District Administration Policy to eradicate sex shows especially those aimed at the Asian market. As you can see from these secretly filmed pictures received by us, it is clear that shows of an explicit nature are taking place at the venue which charges 150 US Dollars per ticket to the mainly Korean Tourists who are brought to the location by their Thai Tour Guides. As soon as enough evidence had been collated it was time for the raid to take place. Police Colonel Supapon, The Region 3 Tourist Police Chief, Police Colonel Somnook, Pattaya’s Police Chief and Khun Worawit, the Chief of Banglamung District led the operation. The Owner of the Complex Khun Somyot aged 29 was arrested along with the Manager Khun Nalong aged 27 along with two tour guides, Khun Chainoowat and Khun Giemjit who possessed expired tour guide ID cards. Back at the Tourist Police Station the performers, owner, manager and tour guides were formally charged with a variety of public obscenity offences.

I wonder why the Bangkok-squad goes to PTY and not starts to clean their own house first..... such shows can easily be found at Silom-Patpong..... but, oh, I forgot... the "boys in brown" in that area are very much involved in that business themselves..... so better scare away the Korean tourists in the sea-resort town of PTY

$150? What a bloody ripoff!!! The shows are bore not mention not very sexual IMHO. I'd rather not watch...razor blades, pong balls, string, frogs, fish and the ladies arent really attractive. Only ben 2x but luckily didnt stay long and that was the cost of a chang.

Saw one show once, in Pattaya back in '98. Girl shooting darts at balloons being held by customers.

Didn't cost anything to get in, and I don't recall the drinks being overly expensive.

I see busloads of Asian tourists being carted around Pattaya. In to a "Muay Thai" bar for an hour, then off to a Go-Go bar for an hour and so on.

Found out that at one place, they each got a beer or a coke (paid for in advance by the tour operators), and the establishment was charging the tour group 300 baht per person !

I'm in there drinking Jack Daniels at 120 baht a shot, and they were drinking coke at 300 baht a bottle !

I guess white farangs aren't the only ones subject to the double pricing system

I felt a bit cheated, but as the Tourist Police pointed out, the sign did not breach the Trade Descriptions Act.
