I was having a discussion today about the cost of living in Bangkok vs Pattaya, it seems to me that the two are the same these days. I would welcome others opinions as I dont know Bangkok that well.

All depends upon which part of bkk you are talking about...?

also depends upon whether you go/eat out alot.?

do you own or rent?

Have a car or use public transport/taxis?

Overall,i think you wuld find pattaya cheaper,even if you never went out.

And one more thing,

If,like me, you like to partake in the occasional company of ladies(other than the missus) that take up employment within the bar industry,then be prepared to pay double in bkk.
