ctrunfree
Get out to the 700 year stadium for the last game of the season- should be a great party atmosphere after the club won promotion this week...
vacationman
We like to purchase a BIG Bag of Toys or Stuffed Animals and then take them to a Hill Tribe Village or Refugee Camp. The past 2 years we have went to Doi Pui above Doi Suthep Mountain, It's always a BLAST. This year we will be going to Bangkok to the Slums at Klong Toey. It will make for one of the BEST DAYS of the year for you... and it doesn't cost too much it you don't want to spend to much. We purchase our Toys / Stuffed Animals Wholesale from a place near the corner of the Moat. If you are at Pantip Plaza and going TOWARD the Moat on the RIGHT hand side just before you arrive at the Moat you will see a Store with 100's or 1,000's of Stuffed Animals out Front. The Wholesale Price is about 25 Baht per Toy. Soooo 3,000 baht or $100 should get you about 120 Toys to give away. It's a lot of FUN... When we get back from Bangkok on the 28th we are going to do a Motorcycle Ride up to Phu Chi Fha... A village we past often VERY VERY Poor... were talking about GRASS Huts probally the size of your bathroom... Were are gonna head up there loaded down on the 29th Dec spend the night and return on the 30th Dec 2010. Let us know if you want to join us for that trip as well. Beetlejuice
I could mention a few, but I have no wish to be banned, especially just before Christmas.

Now that's something I'd love to do - unfortunatly with 2 kids (and a wife abroad) no chance - I heard about this run last year, and wanted to come this year, but maybe next year.... T_Dog
The Mae Taeng Floral Show opened up today and I guess it was well attended. Lots of Thais and foreigners enjoying the rice farm culture, elephant, and flower exhibits. It runs until the 3'rd of January. To get there, go through Mae Taeng village on 107 and take a right at the traffic light at the 3 way intersection that heads to Mae Ngat Dam and the Mae Taeng Hospital. Go up the hill past the hospital and then down the other side and look for it on the left side. If you hit the Ping River, you went too far.
