German man accused of stealing 30 Million Baht arrested by Immigration Police.

PATTAYA: -- Police Colonel Itipon, the Chief of Pattaya’s Immigration Police requested the presence of the local press as he announced the arrest of a German National who is wanted back in Germany on 30 separate charges of deception and theft totaling 30 Million Baht.

The German Embassy in Bangkok contacted the Immigration Department informing them of warrants outstanding in Germany and the suspect, Mr. Klaus Schiffer aged 63 from Germany was located and arrested at the Jomtien Tip Condominium.

He was taken back to the Immigration Department where he admitted to the offences back in Germany and we understand that deportation procedures are now underway.

Tut Tut ..looks like he wont be buying that bar after all :o

so with 30 million how come he couldnt talk his way out of it or was he like the monkey with his hand in the coconut - to dumb to open up his tight fist of booty to free himself

wait till the African scammers get hold of this

dear sir sorry for this intrusion but

our client was arrested and deported back to Germany - we need a trustworth soul to launder the money for us and in return they will receive 30%

god willing of course

Don`t jump to conclusions....it doesn`t mean the guy had 30million it could relate to crimes in the past.

Usually money is gone when this type of arrest is made. I woud imagine he didn't have enough to cover the "Exit Clause". :o

Great thing is I wasn't in that position and don't see it happening. You floated to the top first so were you a victim? Hard to make a sarcastic statement, isn't it? :D

There's a rumour going around that this was all one Big hoax: The true story apparently concerns a severe Cross-Dresser of the Female persuasion; Real name was recorded as Claudia Shiffer (no relation to Klaus !) Age is not 63, but 36 and the money involved was at least 30 Billion . . . . . . . . .

Like who cares ! :o

I thought it was 40 million but now with the dollar being so low, I think you might need 50 million (1 Mil Euros...)

Anyway... at 63 going to jail isn't that bad... especially if its in Germany...

DEZEURE...you missed the joke! The way to be a millionaire in Thailand is to start with 30 million...because you're going to lose the other 29 million!

Get it?

Normally what the police quote as estimated value has nothing to do with reality at all...for example vandalising a bus stop ( a bit of metal and glass) can be estimated as damage up to ten thousand pounds ( police investigation fees, scrapping of the old bus stop, building the new one etc) the actual bus stop may really cos 200 pounds..they just like to make their bust sound better, thats all.

if he still had 30 million he would still be on his beach drinking a chang beer. :o
