Does he rent the property?

Or is it in his wife's name?

Maybe there is a little more to this than the average Pattaya journalist can be bothered to find out. Everything is always too superficial in these reports.

According to Pattaya People News its the wife's name on the title deed.

Like the new GF's surname Khun Likitsuk...........seems appropriate somehow . :o

Ex wife that wont move out, I have said on this forum not to buy a house/condo/land

under your girlfriends/wife name. Even if you are leasing it back for 30 years, This

story confirms one of the points that I have been trying to make, when you split up

with the lady she might not go.

You may have a lease, but your expartner is staying, this man is lucky to be alive....

What difference would there be if he owned the property through a Company rather than leased it, and wanted to get her out? Same options as far as I can see. :o

whether this guy is an idiot or not is irrelavant to me.

he has been attacked by a drunken thug who happens to be a "female"

I hope he recovers and good luck to him in the future.

I will not condone violence to an expat on the grounds "that he had it coming" because his domestic situation was that his current partner shared a home with his ex partner.

It surprises me that others on here see fit to do so.

are you all saying that its ok to have have a knife wound from your ex if she sees you with a new lady??

as for shitting on your own doorstep???? as a moderator is expect better, maybe a little respect for a fellow farang?

I get p1ssed off at people on these fora that believe 'a Thai can do no wrong, it must be the Westerner's fault'. Now we have the reverse.

In fact it seems there were three idiots living in the same house - one got physically hurt. Probably the wife was mentally hurt. And as for the g/f moving in to this menage a trois, she must be a couple of pence short of a pound of common sense.

The wife will keep the property, the others will eventually leave. Only solution. Whether they leave on their feet or in a box is up to them.

The difference is when you lease back the lady believes the property is hers and isnt

interested in the lease, As I have said before if you own the property though a

company you are able to sell the property (at a knocked down price) as you have

something to sell. Tough if you have built the house if a village you have given it

away from the start.

With a lease you still have the house, unless you have a mentally deranged wife :D If you got divorced she has a 50% claim on all marital assets. I would presume a judge would see your percentage of Company ownership an asset. In fact if it was not a legitimate Company she could bring this up in Court. :o
