5 Yr Driving License

Recommended Posts

I have read the postings on this subject but I am wondering if someone could clarify a couple of things for me since I am currently in the UK.

I already have a one year license so do I need to show an international driving license or will the Thai one be sufficient?

Can one apply at any issuing office or must it be at the same one where the original was first issued?

Thanks

Bring your expired Thai licence together with Passport and 1 signed copy each of the main page, non immigrant visa page and permitted to stay page.

2 photos, can get on the premises. IDP is not required for applying a new Thai licence, once you had one already, unless expiration of the previous longer than 1 year.

If your current licence is still valid, you will get a new one for 1 year. If expired you might get 5 years on the new one. Strange, I know.

Application should be done at the office in charge for the place where you stay,
