I have a small limited company in Phuket with myself (Farang) and 7 Thai shareholders only. No Thai employees.

I have my work permit and non immigrant B visa which runs out on the 14th September.

Do I have to go out of Thailand to get another B visa or can I extend while here.

Unless you are married and pay enough personal income taxes to demonstrate support of a thai spouse at 40,000 baht per month or better salary - you will need to go get another fresh visa/entry permit - andreturn with that, and revalidate your present work permit foir another 90 days BEFORE it expires.

Penang is your best bet - with work perkit in hand (make sure you bring it, and a copy), you should be able to obtain a one-year, multiple entry Class B visa.
