Wanted: A Reasonable, Reliable Builder

Featured Replies

:o Can anybody recommend a decent local builder for our dream home between Cha Am and Hua Hin? Don't care if he's falang or Thai so long as he's reliable, reasonably priced and takes a pride in the job. My lady has about two thirds of a rai of land and we're looking to have a bungalow built with a large living room, couple of bathrooms and kichen, plus three bedrooms. I know there are lots of rip-off cowboys out there. Maybe I would be better off with the injuns? Any help gratefully acknowledged.

Here's a suggestion, why not get all the drawings and specifications done first by an architect, then offer the job to tender through advertising in the local press.

Most important aspect is to oversee the construction yourself, if not it's worth employing some one to inspect/oversee on your behalf.
