Ianforbes,

For me speed is essential. I've lost track of the new technology ever since I bought my D100 back in 2002. Beside using it to reproduce my art work to a 24x36 or 30x40 for presentations, I never use more then 3 or 4 MB files for people or landscape but always kept the original full sizes. Don't really know what for. I use a Pentax E60 for a side arm, for everyday life recording with great results many times. The only thing with the small P&S is slow speed in low light. It's almost like using the old fax machine but not quite. To answer your original post, you are right. For me, I probably will never get a several thousand dollars DSLR. I would probably look into a great one like a Leica. Got my eye on one, ooohhh so beautiful.

I used to do some editorial work, models back many years ago on Miami Beach but I was using the F4s at the time. Now, I would like to get back in to it and maybe turn pro like you guys in the future. In the mean while, I just keep shooting with my Loyal 10-year-old D100 and reduce the sizes from 6 MB to 500 KB so people can enjoy them over the email.

I would love to see some of your work that have been published in the pass. Is it possible? Thanks.

Thanks for sharing.

My impression is that you have some focus issues.

The camera seems to be fooled by heads/arms/etc in the near field and assumes that is the main point of focus

rather than the tennis court, that I assume you were more interested in.

Do you have any control over the main point of focus on the camera?
