Hi all,

I have done a quick search but nothing turned up.

I recently had True Visions Satellite installed and all is well. However, unless I'm overlooking something I can't see a way to add channels to the Favourites.

If I press the Favourites button I get the list box to the right side but I can't see how to add to it.

Appreciate any advice.

Cheers.

You are looking at the function that allows you to select a favourite, not the function that creates a favourites list.

To create a favourite (sorry about the correct spelling if you are North American) press the menu button. Select option 4 'Organizing (sic) Fav/Svc' and click the OK button on your remote. In the dialog box that comes up move the cursor with the arrow keys to 'Organizing Favorites' (it grates for me to write American!) and click OK.

A 3 column dialogue box will open. First set up a Favorite List of your own by giving a blank list a name. Cursor down in the left hand box the and click OK on 'New'. Create a name with the keypad that comes up. Follow the on screen instructions. Once you have created your own list and returned to the previous 3-column screen you will find your new list named in the list of lists in the left hand column. Follow the instruction on screen to select channels from the right hand 'All Services' column, placing them in your new Favorites list in the middle column. You use the colour keys to do that as directed on the bottom of the screen. Once happy with the population of your list follow the instructions to exit.

At least that's how it works on my box and remote. I don't know whether they are all identical throughout Thailand. If you find that is complete gibberish when you go back to your kit then you'll need to tell the world of TV where you live for a more localised helper.

Takes a little bit of playing with to get it right but worth the effort. I have three favourite lists for our telly - one for me (Sport, Financials, News and English movie* channels), an extended one for me when I am bored with all that (Nat Geo/Discovery etc) and one for Ann (Hay Ha, Thai scary movies, Thai music and Cartoon channels). Unfortunately I am talking about my wife not my daughter

* yes - I know I should have said 'films', but if you can't beat em join em.

Hi SantiSuk,

Many thanks for your post.

Section 4 of the menu requires a PIN to access it which the installation guys didn't leave for us, nor did they mention one was needed. When the system was installed my wife dealt with it and even though the installer gave her a demo there was no mention of a PIN. They didn't even leave a manual or such.

Anyway, I'll give True a call tomorrow to see if I can find out what the PIN is and then give the Favourites a go. Once I get passed that stage I am sure the remainder of your post will be very helpful, especially the parts correctly written in English :whistling:

Many thanks again.

On the TF6300IR decoder the default PIN numbers are: 2321 for LNB info and 1234 for all other functions which require a PIN.

Thanks for the info unfortunately mine is a different decoder box. Appreciated all the same.

Just as an update to the thread, I went round to the True Visions office and picked up a manual. The Decoder is the Humax one, model No. IR-H101S

In case it may help anyone else the default users PIN is 1232 and the PIN for other functions is 2321.

Hi SantiSuk,

I'm guessing that your decoder is a different brand. The menu structure sounds very similar apart from on 'Organizing Favorites' only gives me a 2-column box. This allows me to add channels to the favourites but unfortunately it doesn't look possible to create my own 'Group'.

Oh well, at least I can group the most watched channels together in one place.

True Visions has a few decent channels but the system is rather outdated considering the cost. I miss my old Sky box!.

Thanks.
