Golf Handicap In Chiang Mai.

Featured Replies

A question for the golfers in Chiang Mai:

How do I go about getting an 'official' golf handicap? Do I need to join a club and hand in x number of completed scorecards or can I do it at a municipal course?

I know I could just estimate it myself based on the last few rounds, but I was wondering how to get an official one.

Fore!!!

I use this site to calculate an on line handicap. My link

I think that you have to input 6 cards to get your handicap. Anyway have a look.

Cheers, Rick

Ive got an international "handicap" ... its that white ball ....

Thanks Rick - that website is great.

Howard - the ball's fine, it's the clubs that cause the problem!

Just get someone to give you a solid wack across the shins with a 5 iron. That should be handicap enough. :D

Good luck with an official one. It's great taking money off the Swedes in Pattaya when they try to live up to their handicap.:D

About two year ago there was tournament at Hang Dong where "Handicaps" were allocated based on the info given by the players.

The winner if I remember correctly, 26 handicap, carded a net 50, 2nd and 3rd were 53 and 54 -all Thai's strangely enough. :whistling:

Makes no difference where you are golf is a handicap.

As Mark Twain said it is a wonderful way to ruin a good walk.

My youngest caught the disease and doctors said there was no hope for him. :(
