Don'T Try To Rob Your Local Cia Man

Paying the ransom usually works in these countries.

It does in Thailand too. Remember a few years ago some Danish teenager wasn't allowed to leave the country after killing some Chinese tourist in a jet ski collision? I believe the Thai court ruled the Danish family had to pay blood money to the Chinese family.

A U.S. official speaking on condition of anonymity was quoted by Pakistan's Dawn news agency as saying Davis was flown out of the country after the acquittal.

"Davis was released from Pakistani custody and is out of the country," the official said.

Davis was released after paying diyya, or blood money, to the relatives of the victims who pardoned him in court Wednesday. Public prosecutors said Davis paid the families of the two victims a total of $2.3 million.

The Pakistani news agency said diyya is a common provision under Islamic law that calls for compensation to secure a pardon.

(Reuters) - The U.S. government did not pay any compensation to the families of two Pakistanis killed by Raymond Davis, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday.

"The United States did not pay any compensation," Clinton told reporters in Cairo. Asked who paid the families, she replied: "You will have to ask the families."

Asked if the Pakistani government had paid compensation, the secretary of state said: "you will have to ask the Pakistani government."

Of course it does....the means justifies the ends is the un-pc (therefore un-stated) philosophy of certain powers.

And of course, it is thought of as "ransom" by the brainwashed drones of those powers even though a double muder had been committed.

$2.5 million apparently, although the US will not admit to ANY payment.

How about the "brain-washed drones" who blame someone for defending themselves from criminals? :whistling:

The US Government will have covered the Pakistani governments expenses in this case, to the extent of US $ 2.5 million.

The families of the 'victims' will receive an appropriate payment, the balance going to some high official's retirement fund.

In Libya my wife had to pay 15,000 dirham when she hit someone with the car and he later died. That was about 45k dollars at that time. These families may be lucky to see that much.

Anyway, the guy is free and out of the country, so no more discussion needed.

how about the "brain-washed drones" who call shooting people in the back "defense"? :whistling:

How about the "brain-washed drones" that turn almost every single post into an attack on the U.S.?

Show me some proof that he shot two criminals while defending himself.

What is clear and inarguable is that Davis shot and killed two men, shot in the back at that. 1. It is not self defense if the "crims" are running away. 2. There is nothing to suggest they were criminals.

What is only his claim, and an unlikely story at that, is that the two victims were attempting to rob him.

Who is brain washed here?

Is that your answer to Naam's question? It shows that you have no sensible answer.

Show me some proof that he didn't. Is that sensible enough for you or do you want to continue to nit-pick and distort?

Shot in the back. It is not self defense if the "attackers" are driving away (AND had not fired at him first!). Is that proof enough for you?

There are many ways that these criminals could have been shot in the back without driving away. Use your noggin for a change.

what about some brainwashed Americans who insist it is an attack on The Greatest Nation on Earth™ if a pigeon shits on their bicycle?

So you do not make some hateful, asinine remark about the US in more than 90% of your posts? Sorry if I have misjudged you. :whistling:

I just shoot pigeons that shit on my bicycle. :annoyed:

I can believe it. A typical violent over-reaction.

But it would never shit on his bicycle again. Now you HC would probably want to send the bird to bird-therapy and build it a birdhouse where it could reCOOPerate (with the cost taxed to chuckd), in the hopes that it would be re-trained and integrated into society. :whistling:

I'm with chuckd on this one.

Yeah God knows the high taxes X-patriots aka: false cheerleaders who fled the country pay out yearly :whistling:

The retired expats have been paying taxes since before you were born. You believe they should be restricted to living within the USA?

You are obviously not a "my country, right or wrong" type of person - the exact opposite in fact - so I would think you would appreciate someone's personal choice to live in another country.

Right is right, and wrong is wrong (in anyone's particular worldview). I'm interested in this "back them, right or wrong" attitude.

By definition, a backer of a wrongdoer, by condonong the wrong, is also in the wrong.

Actually...I'll open another thread as it's a whole new topic.

A "my country, wrong, wrong, wrong" type of person who thinks that no one is allowed to live anywhere else.

I'm pretty well ignoring his little slings and barbs, along with the parrot that sits on his shoulder.

I paid taxes for 53 years and all I got out of it was a lousy t-shirt...and a travel document.

The nice thing is, I now live where I want to...not where I have to.

Hey I'm all for not paying taxes.....After all it is mainly used these days for things like this topic....bailing out a murderer

Or propping up repressive regimes in the Middle East...supporting the 51st state etc.

No taxation without representation right?

I was mainly pointing out to the one who plays a lawyer on TV that you no longer pay out what those still living/working in TGNOE do.

Glad your living there...(where you want to).... too

The "I am owed!!!" attitude of some tax-payers. Little do they think about the taxes they paid that gave them an education, or built the hospital they were born in, or paid for the police that kept their parent's homes safe....or to this day pay for those same benefits for fellow patriots and relatives.

All I got was a lousy t-shirt indeed!!

Could you please explain (it's the second time I've seen this brought up) what you mean by my 'playing a lawyer on TV'? I'm not, nor have I ever been, an actor. Was this meant to be a slight against me? If so, why? If not, what's your point?

And, how does this statement relate to payment of taxes and who benefits?

It is an insulting taunt meant to anger you. There is no other point.

Well, it didn't work.

Well apparantly the guy is bailed out on whatever terms, so the peasants will never know what really happened.

Move on, it was just one of those accidents.

Flapping a few dollars in someones face will do wonders.

The perfect pair of sentences to post after 95% of UG's posts.
