Has anyone paid the 1200 baht meet and greet fast track service?

Did it work, were you met getting off the plane and thru immigration within 10 - 15 mins?

Or is it just a waste of money with typical Thai service? ( poor & unreliable )

I've used it twice to my complete satisfaction.

Arrival : The 10-15 minutes depend on where your arrival gate is (I'm a slow walker) and how quickly your baggage arrives, but immigration is a breeze, and yes I was met at the arrival gate.

Departure : They even checked me in, escorted through immigration in less than 15 minutes.

Hope to have helped

Yes - used it last year when I needed to be at a meeting in central Bangkok an hour after landing. Met at the gate, escorted in a buggy to the VIP immigration. Everything handled for me. Waiting on a chair while they fished out my bags. Walked me through customs to a waiting new Mercedes which got me to my meeting in about 20 minutes (speed peaked at 165km/h). Two bottles of cold water in the car when it pulled up.

I'm not sure how much it cost since it was paid for me, but it was pretty impressive. Only complaint was that the driver was a bit too fast!

Not sure your comment about typical Thai service was necessary since service provided in Thailand has been about as consistent as my experiences in the last two places I've lived - Canada and the UK. Pretty average but at least usually with a smile!

Thanks for your feedback, sounds good... how long in advance did you have to book it, just a couple days?

My comment about service in Thailand is justified as i am sure many on this site will vouch for, it is however refreshing to hear positive comments about good service here.

Thai service can vary ... like any country. But all in all I find the service here very good and best of all ... it's usually with a smile, and definitely not with a cold, I-couldn't-care-less attitude. I guess you get what you put out.

All,

A friend of mine arrived this morning, he said the lines at immigration were all the back down the ramp close to the little duty free shops.

Luckily he was flying business on CP flight who hand out free fast track service, said it worked well and breezed thru formalities in 10 mins.

It does not look like things are improving - shock horror!

All,

That link for the fast track service in previous post require 28 hours notice, as i found out yesterday.....

I emailed them around 7pm on Thursday night requesting departure fast Track for Friday night. No response.

KLM advises that all the free Fast-Track coupons for on-line check-in are gone. However, they did say that I can request Thai Air to through-check our bags at Udon even though KL are Skyteam and not Star Alliance. I know KL/TG allow this from Chiang Mai and Phuket on their website so off to ask the staff at Thai in Udon to avoid that dumb stare and 'cannot' at 7pm! If they do, that will save about 45 minutes on the BKK transit. Sorted!

Agree - we used them - worked like a charm - no complaints.

It is however also possible to simply buy vouchers which entitle you to use the CIP immigration service and you can then use the diplomatic or air crew counter immigration desks - both coming in and leaving.

I have now used fast track in and out of LOS, very efficient. Met of the plane and whistled through in no more than 5 minutes.

Also excellent if older people are arriving after long flight, they will provide golf cart if the plane docks far away from immigration.

I call one of the guys direct now, no need to book online.

Apparently CIP stands for Common Important People  - run by the Miracle Group who also operate several lounges as well as a hotel inside the terminal.

OK, I will bite. Where can you buy these vouchers?

FYI, the CIP 'Fast-Track' channels are next to the air-crew and diplo channels but they are separate for security reasons.

You can buy these vouchers from the same people - just call the contact number they have on their website - you can have them delivered to your home.
