Bkk Dive Supply Shops

Featured Replies

In BKK next week, staying in Sukhumvit, and looking for a shop with high quality dive supplies. Most notably, new fins and mask. Websites appear to be outdated (what a shocker! - maybe that's another post) - one says there is a shop where there is now a boutique hotel!

So would appreciate some help from those with first-hand knowledge......

I'll just move this topic from the pub into the Diving Forum... you're sure to get more answers there.

Have a look at Mermaids Shop in the Amarin Plaza Building, 2. Floor. Amarin Plaza is on Sukhumvit/Ploenchit

My guess would be that areas with diving like Koh Tao or Phuket are better to buy things. All I found in Thailand was so overpriced that I imported everything instead.

Not sure if the islands are cheaper or not...if they were, most likely it would be phuket or Koh Tao as there are the largest concentration of dive shops there.

In BKK, they're pretty scattered. Google:

Wahoo

Dive Supply

Planet Dive

Mermaids

Divemaster

THere are more for sure...but i'm sure you'll find links to the others which are also not so centrally located & perhaps speak less english too...but at the same time might be slightly better priced.
