Arcade Cabinet

Featured Replies

I've always wanted to have my own arcade cabinet. I couldnt find any informations as to where to get one in Bangkok. Anybody have any clues where I could get a custom arcade cabinet in Bangkok.:-)

I'll admit it's generally my wife that gets work on the house arranged (i.e. new teak ceilings put in, etc.)

However, it should just be a matter of downloading a set of plans for a Mame cabinet and getting the woodwork built. ie. http://www.arcadecab.com/CabinetPlans2/CabinetPlans2_Background.html

The harder things to get here will be the joystick and proper buttons for the cabinet. (You could try asking around in Pantip. It's the sort of place where somebody there will have built one - you can find the odd home-built Mame cabinet on sites in Thai).

If you're interested in racing simulators, the web site doesn't mention the cost (so probably not cheap), but I've been to the Sideways bar in HK where they had these networked and they worked pretty well for an office day out... http://www.sideways-driving-club.com/index.php?view=cms&id=2 . (Like a karting day, without the space requirements, and you could even drink and drive...)
