I'm going to be renting a car in the UK in two weeks time and my car rental company insists that I have an IDP if I rent use my Thai drivers license, using my Thai license allows me to rent a manual vehicle whereas my UK license is restricted to auto's only (I'm penny pinching). So, question is, where can I get an International Drivers Permit in Thailand, preferably in Phuket?

Sorry, found the answer here, couldn't find it earlier! :)

The only remaining question is, does anyone know if they are issued in Phuket, before I drive all the way over to Phuket Town to ask?

Hope your license is for 5 years , no issue on 1 year.
