My 2 month old Acer laptop has let me down.

The broadcom 802.11n network adapter states - this device cannot start (code 10).

I have tried reinstalling the deiver from my recovery disk & updating from the net and Acer site.

Contacted Acer and they could only advise me to install the driver again!! all to no avail.

Appreciate any help

Thanks

I would first try a re-boot if you have not done so. If using Windows 7 believe there is a network troubleshooting process that might help (but have never used for that). If in city Acer has good support shops at most major IT centers.

Model number 4820TG.

No Acer support shops in Pattaya unfortunately.

The ACER service centre is in Chonburi, opposite Central(Mall) in Chonburi. A 40 baht bus ride from Pattaya.

But first, try disabling the item via the Device Manager and then rebooting.

Have you tried pressing the 'Fn' + F3 at the same time?

This turns the wireless adaptor on and off.

A slight improvement on the button that looks like a light on my old Acer. It took me a week to find.
