September 12th 2001 the world's capitals witnessed mass demonstrations against the attacks on the US - Tehran in particular had a huge spontaneous demonstration - Iranians waving the US flag, banners and posters proclaiming unity with Americans. Paris, London, Rome, Islamabad..... the list goes on....

S'alright GH, I got yer meaning and I sadly have to agree. Pre 9/11 and particularily, just after, so much goodwill existed. I'll leave it to others to dissect the reasons why, or deny it but the fact remains. Pished away indeed.
