Here is another morse, but this is ALDIS, I would appreciate a read on this please

btw the output from the enigma is often encypted again, for example ADFGVX. a WWI cipher that allegedly drove the French codebreaker

to a nervous breakdown

Sorry, I've tried to read Aldis signals before but can't do it. Something about the spacing. You need a Deck Officer rather than a Sparky for that :jap:

Just a correction to NOCTURNAL SPOONER"s translation of the morse code: It should be "uytug" and not "uyutug". This is a five word kode that we sometime

used during my time as a radio officer. Only receiver of msg got the decoder.

My apologies. I transcribed it correctly but stuck in an extra U when posting. Who were you an RO with? BP/Sea Containers/Fyffes/P&O here. We used to use a private commercial code with BP. You could get three pages of orders out of one code group :)

c'mon mate. a sparker should be able to read an aldis !
