Well I hardly think Enigma machines are considered top secret anymore, or that people using them expect any form of secrecy...

First message gives wheel settings, second is enigma code.

btw the output from the enigma is often encypted again, for example ADFGVX. a WWI cipher that allegedly drove the French codebreaker

Sorry, I've tried to read Aldis signals before but can't do it. Something about the spacing. You need a Deck Officer rather than a Sparky for that :jap:

My apologies. I transcribed it correctly but stuck in an extra U when posting. Who were you an RO with? BP/Sea Containers/Fyffes/P&O here. We used to use a private commercial code with BP. You could get three pages of orders out of one code group
