Hello Chaps

Has anyone done any cycling in Thailand?

Long distance cycling i mean.

I'm thinking about making a trip and wondered if anyone had any experiences to share.

Cheers

I'm bringing my road bike with me for my 5 month stay in Chiang Mai starting Nov 1. I plan on riding on a regular basis. I was in CM this past Feb/March and saw plenty of cyclists. I've got a bunch of friends coming in January. We plan on doing a loop thru Mae Hong Son and Pai. Someone wrote up a similar trip here:

If you're up in CM, drop me a line.

And for those of you into mountain biking....

Where you planning going?

Though the Bangkok Bike Hash is mountain-biking (monthly rides), you'll find that the members do road biking, and longdistance trips around thailand and asia. Try Struan at Spiceroads (link is on the Bangkok Bike Hash webpage) as a starting point, sure he'll help and has probably been there and done that or will know someone who has.
