A TROPICAL DEPRESSION MAY CAUSE FLOODING INCIDENTS IN SOME PROVINCES OF THAILAND

The Meteorological Department of Thailand has issued a warning about a tropical depression.

The Meteorological Department revealed that the centre of this tropical depression is currently located over Myanmar. It is currently moving in a westerly direction. Nevertheless, it has caused precipitation over 70 percent of the north western and central western regions of Thailand.

The department has warned that the depression is likely to cause possible flash floods and forest floods in certain provinces, such as TAK, KANCHANABURI and RATCHABURI (ตาก กาญจนบุรี ราชบุรี). Residents in those provinces have been asked to prepare themselves for possible flooding incidents.
