Cant seem to find any in Chiang Mai, any ideas where I can get one which reads pdf's etc aswell....?

AFAIK you can't buy ebook (eink) readers anywhere in Thailand. There was a website selling Kindle's at a 250% markup a few months ago but they have unsurprisingly closed again.

You can order a Kindle directly from Amazon for about 4,000 baht, delivery and taxes included.

Thing is with the kindles they dont read pdf's do they...?

Someone also told me you have provide proof of purchase for every book you put on there so any your friends might give you cannot go on there....
