Moving House With Tot And 3Bb

Featured Replies

Can any one confirm if you have a 12 months contract with TOT and 3BB for ADSL Net, that it is just a re connection fee, or do they make you pay out one contract and sign up a new one?

Nothing would surprise me with these companies or what ever you call them.

I'm moving next week, and I'm still in my one year contract with 3BB. Call them and make sure your new place can take your internet connection, cause the different buildings contract with different ISP's. I just had to pay the reconnection fee, and that's it. They transfer the contract with you, so don't worry about signing up for a new one. But I would pay the fee and set everything up for the move one month in advance, as they say they need 15 days to be sure, but they are slow, so give them extra time and avoid one less headache while moving!!!

If the new building wouldn't take my 3BB, I was going to drop my service to the absolute cheapest possible setting and pay it off, as I only have two months remaining on my contract. Otherwise it's 5,000B to cancel the contract.

Hope this helps!

They couldn't move mine last year, so I just asked them to cancel the contract. I didn't pay anything. The refunded the 1,650 back to me in full.

FYI & FWIW:

I'm moving from Pattaya to Hua Hin soon, so I stopped by the 3BB counter on Pattaya Klang at Carrefour to ask if I could transfer my existing account & service. They said the process can only be initiated from Hua Hin.

I figured that 3BB needed to be sure that my new location has 3BB lines, and asked if the Customer Service phone center could check, and was told no, only the Hua Hin office can check. She said that as long as I can get 3BB service at my new location, then they definitely can transfer the account and service. (Why can't someone just check with Hua Hin and see? <shrug>)

I was hoping to do it from this end (Pattaya) and have an approximate date of switchover to coincide with my move, but unless I want to travel to HH in advance, apparently can't do that. Oh, well.
