Hello everyone.

I've seen more than a few nice classic cars in the Chiangrai region... Does any of you know any owners who would like to participate to the next Chiangrai event?

Here is more about it:

Owners of classic cars, or classic cars fanatics, here is an information you might be interested in:

The Chiangrai Classic Car Weekend will happen on 11 - 13th November.

The cars will depart from Chiangmai (Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi), then drive north to Chiangrai.

The first night will be spent in Maechan, where the car owners will be welcome at Insii Thai House.

The next morning, the cars will be displayed for an open car exhibition at Insii Thai House. There will also be a photo exhibition of Racing Team VDS, one of the most succesful European private car racing team ever.

At noon, the cars will depart to Chiangsaen and Maesai, then drive back to Chiangrai, where the car owners will be accomodated at The Legend.

This event is a private initiative.

If you, or a friend of yours, own a classic car, it might be interesting to have a look at the "Events" section of this website: www.insiithaihouse.tk

What exactly do you mean by classic car? age etc...?

I have seen a Ford capri,Minis, an Anglia, and a few old Mercedes but not sure if their classic or not.

Classic cars for this event should be immaculate and at least 30 years of age.

Since there is quite a long way to drinve during this weekend, it might not be suitable for most vintage cars (the real antique ones).

Cars already foreseen for the event are for example a 1962 Ferrari, 1950 Chevrolet convertible, 1963 Triumph Herald convertible, Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Club, 1970 Mercedes Coupe, a Rolls Royce Corniche convertible, 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV...

Many of there cars can be seen in pityfull state, but some are kept in perfect conditions by their owner...
