Qatar Airways 2 For 1 Offer

As the title says, Qatar Airways are offering a 2 for 1 promotion to celebrate their 100th Destination. Tickets are on sale on 6th & 7th April only with travel from 1 May to 10th June, travel must be completed by the 10th June.

Obviously there are terms and conditions, including the fact that travellers must travel together, theis offer is in economy only.

I give up. Attempted to get that page to load 20+ times without success. Sounds like a great promotion, but their website appears unable to cope with the demand. Shades of Air Asia, except in this case I can't even begin the booking process. Might try again tomorrow.

On paper it looks a great promotion right up to the point where you go to book it and realise the booking classes available are the most expensive and just to rub it in you have to pay all duties and fees as normal !

Thought I would try again today and got this............

"Due to technical problems with our booking engine provider, several airlines are currently experiencing difficulties with their online bookings. Qatar Airways is also affected and is therefore postponing the 48-hour '2 for 1' online ticket offer for one day. The promotion will now be effective from April 7 (00:01 hrs) to April 8 (23:59hrs). Qatar Airways regrets the inconvenience, but will honour all bookings made to date for the offer."

The difference is price to Athens from H class (basic) to Q Class (the offer) is about 3,500baht, not that much.

The promotion will restart on 7th April at 00:01

Rechecked the price H Class is 45655 for two people (price of one ticket, and all taxes for both passengers) in Q Class it is 48155 (includes all above), difference of 2500baht.

You should see that they have suspended to offer until tomorrow because a booking engine problem, others have mentioned it.

The Qatar Airways website is now (6 April, 00:37 Thailand) saying :-

Due to technical problems with our booking system, customers may have experienced difficulties booking the 2-for-1 offer.

For this reason, Qatar Airways is postponing the special promotion to start on 13 April (00:01hrs) until 14 April (23:59hrs). Qatar Airways will honour all 2-for-1 bookings made to date for this offer.
