Good news for all those waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S II .

Back in February, when Samsung officially confirmed its Galaxy S II smartphone, it was also announced that the handset will feature a dual-core chipset clocked at 1 GHz. Well, Sammy may have eventually decided that a little more raw processing power is not going to hurt anybody. News comes from the manufacturer's Estonian Facebook page revealing that an upgraded 1.2 GHz dual-core processor will be seen in the Galaxy S II once it comes out in the near future. After all, most manufacturers do have a smartphone in their lineup with a dual-core 1GHz processor already, so Samsung was probably looking for a way to stand out of the crowd.

Rumors about a possibly more powerful CPU replacement have been circulating since February, but the speculations never got confirmed by the manufacturer. It was also reported that we were going to see the snappy Tegra 2 chipset in some Galaxy S II variations, but the news about the upgrade does not make it clear whether Samsung still plans to use Nvidia's processor too or to write it off completely. We should be able to find the answer to that as soon as the smartphone gets its official release later this month.

If it is I will not dismiss it after looking at it for 2 seconds. Literally - I was checking out that sleek brand new Samsung Android phone of a friend... I did 2 or three things and then there was this "<deleted>??" moment... what's going on here... is that.... is it?? yes, it's stuttering when you scroll a list. Memories of my crappy Nokia phone from 5 years ago... The iPhone rev. 1 2007 had smooth scrolling....

So yeah if they fix that, I'll most certainly take another look at Android. I am not a brand name person, I am a better product person.
