Dental Issue Where Should I Go

Featured Replies

My gum behind my back tooth is driving me nuts lately, a little inflamed and sore. Hoping I just bit it in my sleep or something and it would go away but it seems to be determined to stick around.

Decided it would be good to see someone, where should I go for such an issue for quality service? Should I just stick to the hospitals? Do I just go in and say my problem? Is there other suggestions I should go to?

Never been to a dentist in Thailand so looking for some suggestions.

Thanks all

The area that is giving you pain is where your wisdom teeth are, unless you've had them out.

First I would go to a dentist and ask for an X-ray and a diagnosis, before any hospital trip.

I would recommend my dentist for this as he has an instant X-ray procedure and will be able to tell you straight away.

The dental practice is directly opposite the Tuk-Com front entrance on the south pattaya rd and its called "Dental for You"

My experience with the Dentists along Pattaya Tai is they only do basic work and don't want to do anything difficult, even just a filling thats hard to get at is too much for some of them, I would suggest Pattaya International hospital, rates are fair and treatment is very good.

Yes your right in saying that most dentists in and around Pattaya don't do anything too difficult, but i can speak from experience that the one i

recommended has fitted impants, crowns and fillings to myself and friends and relatives of mine. he 's more than capable with no comebacks.

The reason i found him was because i looked around for an implant dentist and some of the dentists i visited actually told me to go there on their

recommendation.

Hey thanks, actually it is the area where my wisdom teeth once were. But that was years ago I got them out, almost feels like my other tooth is pushing against the gum, I have heard that teeth move around as you get older, might be just pushing. I will probably check out the hospitals... All I need is my passport and some money? Just go to the front desk?

I didn't do a search english is not my language, my friend is writing these for me:) Sorry about that

Bangkok / Pattaya hospital dental dept is the only place i use...

PIH is great. I'm sure BPH is good also. I've had quite a bit of work done at PIH. Rates are extremely reasonable and the staff I have worked with (4-5 so far) are really good. It's a great place as they have many specialists all under one roof (gum, implants, etc).

My experience is different. I use Dental for you and they are great, very good treatment and a lot cheaper then the Hospital Dentists.

If they are a lot cheaper than what I've been paying at PIH, I would be highly suspect.

PIH has a team of dentists...many of which are only there a day a week as they have practices in Bangkok and elsewhere. Hard for most places to have a gum specialist on board 6 days a week....

If it's fairly basic and routine stuff, then you are OK with most dentists. Anything exotic and you're better off at one of the hospitals or at Bangkok Dental Hospital...which is an amazing place.

Just saw their website...advertising a spa, Tiffany show, tours...and can't even spell journey properly...
