New Fortuner Edition

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Was just talking to a Dealer Who is a personal friend of mine says New Fortuner probably is on The way

Confirmed Additional features

LED tail lights, fancy front grille, Xenon head lamps, state of the art internal illumination, rain sensor wipers, enhanced suspension, etc

AIso there might be sunroof version too

Prices Speculated To be around 1.7 to 1. 8 million baht Sounds pricey

What do you guys think about it ?

Would you trade your current fortuners for this?

One more thing, will the Re sale values of our current fortuners be affected with this one?

Yippee a new one at 1.7/8 let's hope that that's the real price can only up the secondhand one. But I think more likely will only be a little bit more. Light's and a few clip on bit's don't add up to much. Sun roof in Thailand!!!!!!! Rain sensor wipers, they have them on the Pajero just another thing to cut down on your vision, so you can't use your hand to flick or twist a knob.

Would I trade in, not on your Nelly. Only had mine for 20 month's and it now has all the extra's + chip. Have just got a new non smoke candle for the inside illumination work's great.

As you approach 2M Baht, the choices are far too broad for a Pickup-based SUV (PPV) to maintain market share. The standard 25% downpayment is now almost the price of a VIOS/City, putting it well out of reach for their current market base. And who would spend 1.8M on a Fortuner, when a BMW X1 can be had for just 1.9M?

I do feel if they ask 1.7/8 and it has all the goodies plus 5 speed auto it's only a bit more than a Captiva I would go for the Fortuner. As for BMW X1 are you sure it 1.9 I just saw 3.9 on there web site

BMW X1 sDrive 2.0L Petrol 6AT is 2.14M from BMW Thailand (official sales started last month), and ~1.9M in the gray market.

The Fortuner has already gone from > 50% market share (SUV & PPV combined) to under 27% in less than one year. The minor change models will be increasing in price around 60K - 100K Baht, and at these prices they're playing straight into Mitsubishi's, Honda's and BMW's hands, IMHO..
