Visa Extension Question

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2 entry TV and I am permitted to stay until the 29th May but I am wanting to get a visa extension for 30 days. My question is how far in advance can apply for the Visa extension at immigration? Where can I get a copy of the form I need to take with me to immigration and how much does it cost? I am also located in Kamala, Phuket, so where abouts would I need to go get it extended... Phuket Town?

Also my second entry has to be utilised by the 13 of June (which is the date stamped on my visa) Do I do my Visa run on the 12th of June, I will fly out and in on the same day or should I do it on the 11th of June to be safe? I can't do it on the 13th is that right?

Another thing to, am I allowed to do a land border run with this visa? I was told if I do a land border run they would still only give me 15 days upon entry back into Thailand even though I have a TV?

Thanks so much in advance :)

Apply for the extension during the last week. You do not lose days by going early.

You need a TM7 form. You can get one at Immigration or download one from the pinned items at the top of this page.

The fee is 1,900 Baht and you need a passport size photo.

You have to make your second entry no later than 13th June.

You will get 60 days on entry.

1. About a week in advance is normal - time will start for expiration date of permitted to stay stamp. Office is in Phuket town. Cost is 1,900 baht using Tm.7 (pinned items at top - useful information - immigration forms) Print on both sides of one A4 paper. Or just do at office.

2. They seem to accept on 13th under current policy but always best to do a day early anyhow and then you will be safe.

3. You receive the same 60 day tourist visa entry on a land crossing as any other way. You do not have to fly.
