take a taxi from airport and aks them to let u off at the corner of soi Bangla and Rat-u-Thit road,

CNN is right there, 8 or 900 baht off season rates.

If thats to much there are plenty cheaper ones around there

Not sure what you will get for that, is that including the bar fine and short or long time.....or is it freelances at the end of Bangla

Azzurro on Rat-U-thit 200 Bpee road (main drag) about 150 m from Soi Bangla intersection (main intersection in Patong) is very nice place. Beware of the Tuk-tuks anywhere in Phuket, they are notorious for prices, rude and even criminal actions. At airport best to go in a minibus to Patong.

as mentioned above CN Hotel is very close to bangla and reasonably priced, ive stayed there before and will be checking in again on monday :) (basic room is 1000 baht)

another one is the baipho hotel but slightly further away on the Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road so a bit quieter,i know your only staying for 3 nights but they quoted me 7,000 baht for 6 nights so cant be bad

I always stay at Aloha Villa near the eastern end of Bangla.. It about 800b a night low season but it's a really decent place with good breakfast and a friendly in house travel agent. There's a pool on the roof which I think has a bar. Downside was there was no wifi internet, and patience/care is needed to cross Rat-u-thit..

For reasons that I don't know, hotels2thailand seem to always have the best price.

if ur with ur wife and willing to go to 1,500 look at Agoda for a decent place with pool. Should be able to fid something as its low season

Note cnn is 800 if u ask them for it, without the breakfast.

good room and wireless free.
