Report: Over 7000 Palestinians killed in last decade

RAMALLAH (BNO NEWS) -- More than 7,000 Palestinians were killed in the last decade as a result of continuous Israeli attacks, Palestine News Network reported on Thursday.

A report from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said 7,342 Palestinians were killed in the period from September 29, 2000 until December 31, 2010. There were 2,183 killings in the West Bank, while 5,015 Palestinians were killed in Gaza and the remaining number were Palestinian residents of Israel and abroad.

According to the report, 2009 was the bloodiest year in which 1,219 Palestinians were killed, followed by 2002 in which 1,192 Palestinians were killed. In 2010, 107 were killed including the nine Turkish activists who were killed during the May 2010 raid on the Gaza flotilla.

The report also noted that from 1967 until today, Israeli forces arrested around 750,000 Palestinians including nearly 12,000 females and thousands of children. Currently, there are around six thousand Palestinians in Israeli prison, including 37 female prisoners and 245 children.

Sounds very much like it is time for them to stop the attacks on Israel and finally sign a peace agreement and get their own state. :ermm:

Or begin to report objectively and also post the reason why so many have been killed

Perhaps mentioning the suicide bombers along with rocket attacks would also help, but then it would not be Palestinian Media and we have already seen on other threads how they "make up" reports.

I'm waiting for the usual nonsensical accusations of 'genocide', though I doubt the same hyperbole would be used for the events surrounding so called black September, when according to Arafat between 10,000 and 25,000 Palestians were killed when King Hussein threw the PLO out of Jordan in 1970-71. It should be noted that the Jordanians kicked out the PLO after a failed assassination attempt on him as well as constant Palestinian troublemaking both inside Jordan and with neighbouring Israel.

The article doesn't mention the numbered killed in clashes between Fatah and Hamas, nor does it mention the numbers executed outright by Hamas.

You are welcome to add this information in this thread here. don't hesitate.
