If you have seen the one in Holland (in the Hague), you will be very disappointed by the one in Thailand.

Elephant Village

situated on Pornprapanimitr Road on the same directions as Phanaraks Park and Siam Country Club Golf Course. The elephant village is a popular tourist spot for Thai and foreign guests alike. Daily performances by elephants and wild elephant round-up shows are held at 2.30 p.m. Shows last about 1 .30 hour*. Elephant jungle rides are also available**. Additional information may be obtained by calling 01-2123225 or from the front desk at the Tropicana Hotel, Tel. (038)428645-6, 428516.

*for show 1200 Bht /person

**for trekking 2 round )10.30am /4.30 pm 600 bht/person

I was there some time ago. I recall that there were two prices about 50Bht for Thai and 200Bht for farang. You know the drill:- farang price in english - Thai price written in Thai! Still believe that all "dual priced venues" should be priced for "residents" and "non-residents" as is done in many places overseas.

As regards the mini-land - not sure that I would reccomend it! Maybe it is worth 50Bht but not 200Bht!
