How many times can you either go back and forth like singapore or Kl for a 30 day visa, then get a 30 day extension. Is there a limit to the times you can get a 30 visa in one year? Thanks

A 30 day visa is normally a visa exmpt entry for people without a visa, these cannot be extended (except for 7 days with a ticket out of the country within 7 days). There is no limit for the number of entries.

Only a tourist visa, which for most nationalities give 60 days) can be extended by 30 days, for a tourist visa there is also no official limit. But consulates in the region are tightening up and will not issue if you have to many tourist visas in a row

I had a ED visa for two years, then attempted to open a company and changed my mind. I am near the end of a 30 stamp. should I try to get an extension or I am going to have to travel out of the country every two months in order to stay here? thanks very much

You will not get an extension. (see my first post)

Options are to leave every 30 days and fly back in again, or get a (double entry) tourist visa for 60 days, which can be extended by 30 days and then leave the country. However, it is unlikely you will get more than a few toruist visas in a row in the area.

For long term stay it might be better to go back to school.

I thought one could only get two years worth from an ED visa? I only need about 6 months worth of more visa time before I open my company. You are a fountain of information. Thanks, Mario!!

There is no real time limit for an ED-visa, most school allow you to study 3 to 5 years or even longer of study. It depends on the courses the school offer.

One can also change to another study and continue studying. It doesn't need to be Thai language.
