I positively hate jellyfish in general and the poisonous ones particularly.

It is close to a phobia.

Are they good for something?

Are there ways to get rid of them, apart turtles?

Nope! Very few natural enemies.

Authorities should put a bounty on the very toxic ones. 200 or 300 baht a pop, it would give some thais an opportunity to make money.

Last year I saw an anemone eating a jellyfish at Chumphon Pinnacles. It had swallowed it tentacles first, only the top of the bell (~20cm diameter) was still visible (surprised it could fit it in). Some rabbit fish also eat jellyfish, they pick the bell to pieces and leave the tentacles.

Don't like anemones as well  , but I like them much more than jellies, especially after I read your post.
