Where Can I Buy Bulgur (Burghul) Wheat

Featured Replies

I am looking for Bulgur wheat to use in a Tabouleh recipe but have had no luck with Rimping or Tops. It is not the same as Cous Cous. - does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

I can find packed bulgur here in KPG in a local well stocked supermarket. I don't recall the brand but was France or Italian-imported and priced 170 baht for 500 grams.

So maybe you will be lucky in Chiang Mai with your quest

I'm pretty sure I've seen it at Rim Ping Narowat. I'll look again next time I'm there. They have bags of grains in several areas of the store, often on the lowest shelves. Sometimes, I've sat on the floor and gone thru the bins of dried bean and grains and made some interesting discoveries, like red quinoa. I've made tabouleh here and I must have gotten the ingredients at Rim Ping. I pretty much just shop there, Tops and the local Thai markets for fruits and veggies.

I buy Waitrose brand at Tops and Central market in Bangkok.

You can buy bulgur wheat in Chiang Mai at Rimping, Bakermart or Yok Intertrade.

You can buy at Chiangmai baker mart on Chiangmai -Lamphun rd. not far from the intersection with Mahidol rd.. Or you may find at Rimping supermarket ,but the price at Chiangmai baker mart is cheaper . They also have many baking ingredients too.
