I recently purchased an LG Optimus One P500 for only 6,990 at the imobile shops in BigC and it seems great to me. I bought it on the recommendation of a couple of very tech savvy friends who each own one. It isn't the very latest super fast wizz bang phone (hence the price dropping to a point that I consider reasonable to pay for a phone), but then it works just fine, doesn't seem in any way slow to any of us who own them, and it comes with Android 2.2 installed.

The specs aren't bad, it can take a micro SD up to 32Gb, has a 3.2 megapixel camera, decent screen resolution, blah, blah...

It's the lowest priced phone I have found with specs that I can be happy with. There are a couple of cheaper phones out there but they have serious compromises (for me) on screen resolution.

Anyway, just a tip for anyone in search of a moderately priced phone - this should certainly be on your radar. jap.gif

It looks like a great entry-level Android phone. Some drawbacks, smallish screen (3.2"), older processor (600 Mhz), only 900/2100 Mhz 3G (so no True), prices as low as 6,500. The Acer Liquid Metal might be a better option, in this price range?

I have an LG Windows phone. I got to hate the touch screen and bought a Nokia E52 that I love. No more finger prints on the screen. My friends computer died and I loaned him the LG to use for the Internet while his computer is being repaired. He absolutely loves the phone and insists on buying it. That aside, I really think LG phones are under rated. The camera on the LG is 5 megapixels and it takes excellent pictures and videos as well as all the other unnecessary things smart phones are capable of.
