The Truemove post-paid plans for the iPhone are quite attractive. More so than the other post-paid packages ("Ready", "My Way").

Has anyone successfully signed up for one of these iPhone packages, but did not have an iPhone? I recall one TV poster mentioned he had an aircard with an iPhone package, just wondering if anyone else has done this, and how much subterfuge if any, was required?

The Freesize plan is 599 baht/month and includes 300 minutes, 300 SMSes, 50 MMSes, unlimited GPRS, unlimited WiFi, 3 GB (fair use) of 3G.

A similar Ready package, "Smartphone" is 649 baht/month, and includes 350 minutes, 300 SMSes, 50 MMSes, unlimited GPRS, unlimited WiFi, 1 GB (fair use) of 3G.

Good question. I had always assumed the IMEI number would identify your device as non-iPhone to True and not activate the plan, but never knew for sure.
